  • Ravi Shastri will join the Indian team only four days before the first Test in Galle as he is currently serving as a television analyst with Sky Sports for the 2015 Ashes series
  • Shastri, who missed the Zimbabwe series for the same reason, would have been with the Indian team for their preparations for the three Tests against Sri Lanka, had the series not been advanced by ten days
