This temple was founded by the son of Rudraswar Acharya in 1817 A.D.(1739 San/Bongabdo). The descendents of the Acharya family are almost now shifted to Bolpur. Prasanta Acharya is one of the most well known person belonging to this family. He and his elder brother first made some renovation and now another person of this Acharya family made some changes. The temple is like Pyramid in shape and the walls of this temple is fully decorated with various figures, like Buddha, hunting man etc. For more details people can contact with Dr.Pradipta Acharya who is also belonging to this family and the son of Prasanta Acharya.
