Education qualification of our Bollywood celebrities

Our Bollywood celebrities have always been graded on their looks, fame and acting skills. But did you know, most of our celebs are a combination of beauty and brains? While some are just educated, there are a few who are very well-educated and some for whom education was never a cup of tea.

Listed below are our favorite Bollywood superstars and their education qualification.

VIDYA BALAN

The Dirty Picture actress and super talented Vidya Balan holds a major in sociology from St. Xavier’s, Mumbai. She then went on to do an MA from the University of Mumbai. Besides this, Vidya also studied and performed in Prithvi Theaters workshops. The actress is proficient in Tamil, Malyalam, Hindi, English, Bengali, and can also read Urdu.

AMITABH BACHCHAN

The most educated Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan loved to study. Acting was never on his mind. After graduating from the Sherwood College in Nanital, Bachchan Sr went on to do a double major in Science and Arts from the Kirori Mal College in Delhi. He has also been awarded a doctorate degree form a foreign university.

AISHWARYA RAI

This is one beauty with brains. Aishwarya Rai was and above average student who was keen on taking up medicine as her profession. She secured 90% in her HSC board exams and was very passionate about zoology. However fate had other plans and the beauty queen landed up in Raheja College for a degree in Architecture. However, Ash had to drop out halfway as she won the Miss World pageant at the age of 21.

JOHN ABRAHAM

This hunk is not all body and no brains. Did you know, John studied economics at the Bombay Scottish School, Mahim in Mumbai and got his MBA from the Mumbai Educational Trust? Yes! So, his smile and bulky muscles should fool you no more.

KAREENA KAPOOR

Bebo was a very hard working student. Except for mathematics, the actress has received first class honors in all the other subjects. After her schooling, she studied commerce for two years and enrolled for a three month course in microcomputers at Harvard University. Not just that, she even studied law for a year in Government Law College, Mumbai.

PRIYANKA CHOPRA

Priyanka Chopra studied at La Martiniere Girls School in Lucknow. She then made her way to the United States and Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts, and later John F Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She returned to India and finished high school from the Army School in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. She attended Jai Hind College in Mumbai. She wanted to become a software engineer or a criminal psychologist, but winning the Miss World title led to a career in films
